About Jason Reid:
Speaker on Human-Centered Leadership
Meet Jason Reid
Jason Reid is a seasoned manager, leadership speaker, and communication expert who believes the best results come when leaders show up as fully human.
As former head of content for a national television network, Jason led diverse teams through rapid change and high-pressure environments—doubling productivity, sparking innovation, and helping his team win national and international journalism awards for the first time in the network’s history. Under his leadership, The Weather Network became a respected news and information brand, despite limited resources and tight deadlines.
Jason’s clear communication and people-first approach also led to successful leadership roles on multi-million dollar projects.
Jason’s leadership philosophy is simple but powerful: Connection beats perfection.
Drawing from his own experience managing teams while navigating invisible disabilities, he shows organizations how authenticity and a willingness to embrace awkward moments can unlock trust, engagement, and unexpected performance.
In addition to his leadership background, Jason has roots in journalism, screenwriting and comedy. This rich storytelling experience allows him to bring a rare blend of humor and heart to every keynote. His talks leave audiences laughing, reflecting, and, most importantly, ready to lead with more courage, clarity, and connection.
Jason is also one of Canada’s top storytelling and speaker mentors, helping both emerging voices and seasoned subject-matter experts craft keynotes that connect and convert. Learn more about his mentoring and consulting work.

The Leadership Challenge That Changed Everything
When Jason took over as head of content at the TV network he faced two distinct challenges: A life-long chronic illness which sapped his energy, as well as a newsroom struggling with declining productivity, and uninspired output.
At his first national staff meeting, Jason made a bold choice. He shared his invisible disability. That moment of vulnerability sparked something unexpected. One by one, team members came forward with their own invisible disabilities (mental health issues, neurodivergence, chronic diseases). By adopting human-centered leadership, things quickly changed. Team productivity doubled in less than a year, and the department won national and international awards for the first time in its history.

The feedback we received on Jason was entirely and overwhelmingly positive.
